Cool WiFi Radios
Posted on March 30, 2009 by admin
If you've ever wanted to listen to a radio station from your former place of residence, but it is too far away, maybe you need a WiFi Radio. These radios will pick up radio station audio streams anywhere on the internet as long as you have a working WiFi connection available. Most also have wired ethernet connections as well.
All internet radios require that the stations you listen to be in their online database, which your unit can ask for an address, or they require you to know how to find the address of the stream. This can be easier said than done as many stations don't really want you accessing their streams directly. They would rather you come through their website so they can count the visit. How to find hidden stream addresses is the subject of a future blog entry.
If you try one of these or several other internet radios that are on the market today, let us know how you like them. These things are pretty cool!
